Your Contribution to Organizational Wellness

 It all starts with you. Whether you are an entrepreneur, employee, manager, corporate leader, C Level Executive, President, etc., you have a role within your organization's wellness and happiness. You may be doing a fantastic job by taking care of your overall wellbeing, and if so, you have already passed the first step toward your organizational wellness. If not, you have work to do, my friend, before you can think of how you can help others. None, including the company you work for, is responsible for your happiness. You are.  

Entrepreneur 

Being an entrepreneur myself ever since I was a kid, I know how hard it could be to take care of business and take care of ourselves. But please keep one thing in mind, we simply can not take care of business in the long run if we do not care for ourselves. Easier said than done. I know. But I also know when I was not taking care of my wellbeing, although the business was doing great at times, something else always fell apart. Usually, it is your personal life, family, closest friends, etc. Please don't let that happen to you.  

Find the time for yourself—ideally, first thing in the morning. This may be when you exercise, meditate, read, and focus on yourself before focusing on your business. It has to be a routine.    

If you have employees, do what you can to ensure they are happy to work for you. We can not get into their personal life, and we should not. However, while they are in the office (or remote, it does not matter), we can help and assure that we do everything we can to have fun. Show them respect and appreciation for their hard work, and in turn, your employees will be happy at work and will work even harder for you.

Employees

We are all responsible for our happiness. No one else can do this for us. So, as an employee, do not wait for your manager, leader, CEO to bring tools like Positive Psychology Coaching into the organization to help you improve your life. Bring your positivity and grounded optimism into every project, small or large, every meeting, every interaction with your colleagues and clients. 

Managers and Leaders

I managed small and large teams, unsure which one was more challenging. Regardless of the team size, you can and should do things to help your team members' happiness level and overall wellbeing. Why? Not only will you be helping them on a personal level, but at the same time, you will be helping your business since your employees will become even more productive.

Corporate Level Executives / CEOs / Presidents 

Even if I want to, I can not tell you how to run your business. But I can say to you, and I will, that when you think of your company's bottom line, you should also think of your employees. As you know, without them, you have nothing. And bringing happiness to your employees and organization will improve your company's profitability. And since your job is to assure great financial results, your job is also to ensure Employees and Organizational Wellness.
